siRNA Transfection

MDS offers Nanofectin siRNA for efficient binding, protection and transfer of silencing RNA into mammalian cells for a multitude of applications. It is extremely important to selectively inhibit the expression of individual genes of interest. Double stranded RNAi oligonucleotides are highly efficient in targeting selective RNA degradation and thus allow to selectively deplete target cells of individual proteins. This method is extremely valuable to elucidate the function of individual genes for particular cell types. Suppression of gene expression will persist for several days after transfection which allows performing a variety of methods on the altered cells.
