Serology

The ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is used as the primary test. In the case of borderline results, immunostaining will be performed.

SAMPLES

Centrifuged blood or serum samples may be submitted in serum separation tubes. However, it is preferred that serum be separated and submitted in screw-capped vials. If samples have been heat inactivated or diluted, please so note on the submission form.

Live animals may be submitted, if prior arrangements are made for time of arrival. There will be an additional charge for euthanasia, blood collection, and animal disposal.
