Biodistribution & Bioavailability Studies
The measurement of the biodistribution of radiopharmaceuticals and DNA-based therapeutics is an important aspect in calculating absorbed dose from internally deposited radionuclides by either imaging or non-imaging measurement techniques. These include the following:
- Mass balance measurements
- Blood and plasma kinetics
- Quantitative tissue distribution (single and repeated administration)
- Biliary excretion
- Enterohepatic recirculation
- Protein binding
- Excreta counting
